Serving the Eastern Townships English-speaking Community since 1979.
BE INFORMED – Members receive Townshippers, a bi-annual newsletter jam-packed with information on current initiatives for and by the English-speaking community. Did you know you could purchase books and CDs from local artists at our offices? Have you heard the latest about the Eastern Townships Partners for Health & Social Services initiative? www.topportunity.ca? Townships Leaders of Tomorrow? Outstanding Townshippers? The English Speaker’s Guide to Life in the Eastern Townships? Do you know where and when Townshippers’ Day is?
Townshipppers’ has initiatives in various fields, from health & social services to culture and arts, to youth. Read all about them at www.townshippers.qc.ca. As a bonus, you may submit your email address to receive our periodic E-Bulletin. And that’s besides the mass of information accessible through our Info Service.
VOTE – One member, one vote for an active Board of Directors, supported by a dynamic team of employees.
UNITED, WE GROW – When Townshippers’ advocates policies that strengthen the Townships English-speaking community, your support strengthens our voice. The more members we have, the better they listen.
We work hard behind the scenes to ensure the participation of English speakers on boards of public organizations and institutions. We need a broad support base to justify a seat at those tables. Your membership counts!
SAVE YOUR MONEY – Townshippers' Association has a number of cultural partnerships with local arts centres and organizations. This year, the membership committee aims to increase the number of members who are under 50 or who are newcomers to the Townships. As the new membership year started April 1st, these goals are even more acute. You can help by spreading the word and encouraging your friends to join the Association. It’s personal contact that makes a difference.
Being a member of the Association is a good way to be part of the action, or keep informed about what’s going on. The Association can help keep you connected with the English-speaking community, and your membership helps keep the Association connected and effective.
