OUTSTANDING TOWNSHIPPERS AWARDS DEADLINE EXTENDED

Townshippers’ Association is extending the deadline for its 11th annual Outstanding Townshippers Awards to Monday April 26. The awards recognize and celebrate individuals whose unique contributions have made a lasting impact on the quality of life of the Eastern Townships English-speaking community.
Nominations are still being accepting for a variety of fields including: health and human services, volunteerism and education, and recreation and livable community. Those selected as Outstanding Townshippers for 2010 will be honoured at the Awards Banquet on Friday June 4. This year's Awards Banquet will honour Young Townships Leaders as well. The association's annual general meeting will also take place on June 4.
The 2010 Awards Banquet will be at Murray Memorial Hall in Georgeville, with a generous buffet meal will be served. Tickets cost $28 per person. Please note that seating in the hall is limited. Only 100 places are available at the Hall. So please reserve your tickets as soon as possible. Feel free to bring your own libations as well.
