Free One-On-One Coaching Session and Entrepreneurship Workshop

On Tuesday, February 28, Youth Employment Services (YES) Montreal and Townshippers’ Association are hosting a special entrepreneurship services day in the Eastern Townships. The day will include one-on-one business coaching sessions, an Open House information session and an entrepreneurship workshop. Lennoxville

 

 

Entrepreneurs are invited to sign up for one-on-one, personalized business coaching sessions, which will take place in Lennoxville between 1 and 3 p.m. For this one day only, the coaching sessions will be offered to participating entrepreneurs free of charge (an activation fee of $20 is normally required), thanks to Townshippers’ Association.  These sessions will take place at Townshippers’ Association’s head office in Sherbrooke, located in the Marguerite Knapp Building, 257 Queen street in the borough of Lennoxville.

 

The YES Business Consultants will offer participants information and tips to help them determine how to grow their businesses, or identify opportunities for improvement. They will assist clients with:

• Idea Evaluation and Business Set-Up

• Growing and Maintaining Your Business

• Business Plan Writing and Development

• Market Research, Sales and Marketing

• Advice on Financing Options and Resources

• Importing/Exporting, Online Business, Franchising and More

Are you worried about how you’ll be able to maintain your contact with YES once this day is over? Don’t! Clients can take advantage of coaching sessions via the online coaching services. The YES Montreal business coaches now have video capabilities in their offices to allow for long-distance interaction that is personal and private. Once your file is activated, you will be able to take advantage of the help and support that YES can provide, wherever it is easiest for you!

 

Between 3 – 4 p.m., there will also be an Open House during which a variety of business information kiosks will be set up in the lobby of the Marguerite Knapp building. Visitors will be invited to learn more about the services available in the Townships for entrepreneurs and will be able to talk with representatives from Yes Montreal and Townshippers’ Association.

If so, this is your chance to find out about the services and resources offered to you as a client of YES. Join us from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28 in Knowlton for a free information session: “Jump Start Your Business / Grants and Loans Orientation.” Topics covered during the session will include: eligibility criteria, targeted sectors and industries, as well as levels of funding available.

 

As a budding entrepreneur you won’t want to miss this orientation session which will provide you with the basic information required to launch your business. Get a glimpse of what it takes to be an entrepreneur, gather your facts and get ready to jump-start your business!

 

The session will take place at CIDI Radio-Communautaire Missisquoi, located at 305 Knowlton Road in Knowlton.

Myths and Facts about Mental Illness: Information Session

Are you or someone you know affected by a mental illness? Are you confused by words like burnout, depression, psychosis, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, manic depression? Don’t know where to turn?   Feel all alone? You are not alone. Take a “leap” and become informed!

On Wednesday, February 29, Judy Ross – Executive Director of Mental Health Estrie – will present an information session entitled “Myths and Facts About Mental Illness” at the Mansonville Town Hall (2 de Vale Perkins, Mansonville). During the presentation, she will:

  • Discuss some of the myths surrounding mental illnesses and replace these with facts;
  • Inform listeners about some of the services available in the area;
  • Discuss the roles of various service providers.

Photo Cutline: February is Heart Month and, in celebration of this, Townshippers’ Association is participating in the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Trendy Red campaign. To raise money for the foundation, we are selling red hearts ($5 each, 3 for $10, 5 for $15) and creating a heart mural in our office! We will officially be celebrating the Trendy Red campaign on Tuesday, February 28 during the entrepreneurship day.
